In Mexico City, November is the beginning of winter and at this time the weather starts to cool down. Come prepared for cool and warm days. Bear in mind that our winter is not as cold as the European winter.

It is not advisable to drink tap water. Bottled water is available everywhere. Avoid eating on the street and raw fruit and vegetables; especially avoid strawberries.

Contrary to popular belief, Mexico City is no more dangerous than any other cosmopolitan city. However some simple advice can be useful. Take taxis only provided by your hotels and restaurants. Do not leave luggage unattended and do not have your valuables visible.

Be patient with traffic jams. It is difficult to avoid them often making arrival times unpredictable.
